If it's crap... We'll tell you

Me, my favorite one was Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne, due to the crazy, weird storyline.

nocturne is amazing. I have also played the Persona games, and they are amazing as well. I haven't played the digital Devil saga games, but I hear they were pretty awesome.

To sum it up, I agree with Nocturne being the best.

What are the games about?

All of the games have widely different stories, but the first 2 (which never got released in America) involved you being messiah of a demon-infested world (or something), 3rd one was about you being a high school student who is transformed into a demon after the apocalypse and you must create a new world, the Persona series is about high school students in Japan who can summon Persona's, manifestations of their inner self; Devil Summoner is about supernatural detectives, and Digital Devil Saga was about the Embryon tribe fighting to enter Nirvana after being transformed into cannibalistic demons.

Sounds sweet.

I've only played the recent PS2 ones, except Devil Summoner...but from what've heard, I didn't miss much.

My favorites were the digital devil saga games. Really liked the story.

Persona is still really addictive though. I love SMT.

Anyone play Imagine? I don't like MMORPGs, but I was just curious.

Saw this last night, and it kicked ass. THe spill crew were really off with their review. The plot had some flaws but the action was incredible, kinda old school 80s action. If this had come out in 86-89 it woulda been a cult classic.
