Just wondering if anybody from spill is watching the biggest fighting game tournament of the year on spill. As a hardcore fighting game player myself I've been on it all day. I feel like its something that should be watched. The greatest players from all over the world come together to play games like Street Fighter and Marvel vs Capcom 3, Tekken, Blazblue etc.

I watched most of the SFIV tourney and some of MK9.  I only followed the Tekken/Starcraft community until this year, but I'm really interested in the scenes in other games now (MVC3/SF4 [MK9 is okay]) and it's exciting to watch (especially live).

So much so I picked up SF4 earlier this month and MK9 earlier this week.

i saw a couple battles then left.

is having the commentators necesary though?lol

Yes, it adds to the excitement.  Unless it's bad commentary, but there wasn't any at evo yesterday.

Yea the fighting game community is amazing in my opinion. Getting to travel around and meet people and just play games with everybody else who loves fighting games as well. Also what's wrong with having commentary? I think it is necessary especially when its actually good commentary. Who doesn't love commentary from Ultra David, James Chen, and the man himself Seth Killian? Anyways today is gonna be Marvel and I'll be watching that all day.

I learned after watching 15 hours of SF4 to wait until the lesser players get knocked out and the crop start to thin so I"ll tune in later.
