If it's crap ... We'll tell you
Sabretooth posted a statusSo as far as this remake is, I feel it's a sort of "make or break" sort of remake. We're so used to Tobey being Peter Parker, people will either love it or hate it. Im starting with this, anyone have any opinions? Spill crew too?

Second one he seemed to show way more emotion than in the first, and the third, which wasnt as bad as people said it was btw, he took a little step back. And for the Gyllenhall thing, all I can say is there is a reason those two starred in Brothers. But Im hoping MR Garfield can pull the surprise of the year here and hopefully Corey and Crew don't shit on it so bad.

Permalink Reply by Zulzon on January 27, 2012 at 7:25am I, personally, understand why they wanted to reboot the series, but I am sad we will not see Tobey Maguire anymore. He was the perfect nerd/superhero.
i have mixed feelings about this movie, i like the old spiderman movies, but it wasn't until a good friend of mind revealed something about the previous movies, to me. and that fact is that tobey maguire wasn't a really good spiderman and as i tried to debate him, when i realized i couldn't and i had to accept was right. He was a ok Peter Parker, but not so much spiderman. So i cant make any predictions about this film.

Permalink Reply by Dillon Panarello on February 9, 2012 at 3:13pm Yeah I will give you that. He seemed a bit flaky at times and was a bit distant from what the character truly was . Garfield seems to have the character nailed to an extent in the trailer (just the trailer, the WHOLE movie will tell us how well he does), but Im on the wagon for this one. Hopefully it meets the expectations for it, and they are HIGH.

Permalink Reply by Dillon Panarello on February 9, 2012 at 3:11pm I just hope it doenst get over-shadowed by the avengers, Ghost Rider SOV, and The Dark Knight 3( all three of which Im MEGA psyched about.)
Permalink Reply by Flounderboy on February 6, 2012 at 10:50pm I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this film. I like the Raimi films but there was always something about them that sort of kept me at an arm's length as far as investing me in the story. The action of the films was top notch, but the characters and story never sucked me in completely. Tobey is goofy sure, but I never bought him as a high schooler, and most of his humor came from slapstick and not dialogue. I've been looking forward to this reboot since the first time I heard it was announced (and was kind of baffled by the backlash it's been getting).
Permalink Reply by Dillon Panarello on February 9, 2012 at 3:09pm Well the backlash is mainly due to everyone so used to Raimi's Spidey that everyone is knocking this one short. But the newest trailer that the Spill crew reviwed bought me completely so I have good hopes on the film. The only thing I can;t get over no matter how hard I try is the dang costume.
