Always fun to find out your mom is a racist.
As a kid you don't question it, but when you become a adult and realize the little side comments here and there... it kinda takes you by surprise.
She doesn't say it, but she is alittle too quick to judge people based on skin color, and finds it alittle easy to sling around the n word.

Hmmm I crack a joke every now and then but like your G PA I do get angry / outraged at racism and bigotry. Mind you when I'm joking its with friends and its usually at their expense. They in turn do the same to me.

She really doesnt like Polish people "these bastard Polish use to stick jews in concentration camps and then guard the concentration camps.". I however do not hate polish people of anyone else because of their ethnic background.

What I realized is that the older generations are more racist and bigoted but not to the point where they will get a pitchfork ad start jabbing people of different race, more like saying things like "yeye _____ are all the same". Younger generations are much less bigoted and racist.

You're right, there are a lot of younger generations who are prejudice towards ethnic minorities but there are much less of them then older generations.

Well, your opening post is (purposely?) ambiguous. Hard to tell exactly what you're talking about.
Sometimes...nay, often, remarks are labeled "racist" that aren't at all. It would be complete nincompoopery to say that all people and cultures are the same, and that any comment in opposition to that blindmindset is "racist". For example, some years ago I was in a car with my friend, and we were driving through Chinatown. I saw a very fetching young Chinese woman waiting to cross the street, and I remarked, "Ah, now that's what I need in my life, a beautiful Chinese girl. She prolly makes some great Chinese food, too." My buddy spent the rest of the day complaining that I had been "unbelievably racist".
African-Americans have developed their own unique culture in the United States. So have Chinese-Americans, Mexican-Americans, and many others. Is it racist to make a joke about Mexicans eating beans? No. They do.
Again, your first post was vague enough that I don't know if momma's "little side comments" are more incisive or not...but not everything referencing the differences between people is racist.

No... pretty sure she was racist.
When George W. was on Oprah the other day, we sidetracked into talking about the whole Katrina fiasco. She said something along the lines that there is 'something' in black people that just allows them to loot, kinda like a reflex.
Also, she used to call Oprah a nigger quite openly.
Think she's racist.
