hey everyone. It's been a while. Since some people have already seen tha latest photos from the set of the Dark Knight Rises there have not been any interesting news on that movie...until now. It has been said that israeli actor Alon Aboutboul (who had small roles in Rambo III, Body of Lies, Munich, Beaufort, Noodle) has been cast as a "cruel, mad scientist" in The dark Knight Rises. This just makes me think about that rumour regarding the comic book "Prey" being inspiration for the movie, as one of the very first batman villains was Hugo Strange. gary Oldman recently had said that one of the very old villains would be in the film. I think we got Hugo Strange right here. i am not saying that this is 100% true but there really aren't any mad and cruel scientists apart from Hugo Strange that would qualify as being some of the first batman villains. if this is true Carlyle is going to be happy. What do you guys think? Is this guy a good enough actor to portray Hugo Strange (if he is playing him)? I am thrilled by this piece of information, as it makes everything fall into place. Bane might end up having to play the role of Night Scourge in Prey, which is that he might cause crimes and beat batman in the process. catwoman, who obviously appeared in prey might also somewhat get involved and we might not see the League of Shadows at all. It would also explain ra's al Ghul's role in the film, as Hugo Strange is known for working on the Monster Men serum, and he might just need the water from the Lazarus Pit to make it and would make a transaction with the younger ra's al Ghul 30 years before Batman Begins. What would then also be interesting would be that all 3 would at some point discover batman's secret identity, which might then lead to his exposure. But this is all wishful thinking at this point. the only thing we know is that Alon Aboutboul has been cast as a mad scientist (who might just be one of those no-name scientists in movies working on venom to create Bane). I sincerely hope he's Hugo Strange because at least we won't have to deal with the silly ninjas again.
