The only three I've seen were Das Boot, Run Lola Run, and Goodnight Lenin. I enjoyed all of them. German cinema is tuff to stumble across if you aren't looking for it.

Wow. These lists put me to shame. I love German cinema, but I seem to be a novice compared to everyone else here. I'll give it a go, though.

Question: Do English language films from German directors count?

I said I'd give it a go. I didn't say when. There are many I'd include which may not count, depending on how we're defining our terms.

When this is clarified, I'll give it aforementioned "go."
