Permalink Reply by Samuel on July 20, 2012 at 5:25pm That threw me too. Bane deserved a more dignified ending to his story.
Permalink Reply by Arsène Lupin the Third on July 20, 2012 at 5:30pm Why?
Permalink Reply by The Halfrican on July 20, 2012 at 5:42pm because he was driven by love
Permalink Reply by Arsène Lupin the Third on July 20, 2012 at 5:53pm That's creepy as shit because Bane was (at least) a teen, if not full grown when Talia escaped the hole, meaning if he had fallen in love with a pre-pubescent girl.
Also we saw how "dignifited" Rachael Dawes character was killed: mid-sentence and then Alfred made sure to deny her last wish to him to deliver the letter(infact burning it to spare Bruce the pain).
Also Two-face's death wasn't all that dignified either, he got killed on accident.
Permalink Reply by Samuel on July 20, 2012 at 6:07pm But the moment bane is shot he is never seen or mentioned again. The camera should have at least shown the remains and played a bit of sad music. His death was very underwhelming for a main villain.
Permalink Reply by The Halfrican on July 20, 2012 at 6:26pm okay because right when batman was taking the bomb away, i thought, so wait is Bane dead?
Permalink Reply by Arsène Lupin the Third on July 20, 2012 at 6:31pm Yes.....
Permalink Reply by Joseph E T Hughes on July 20, 2012 at 5:56pm Because he was the villain with the most on-screen character development and exposure. With most of the film built up as a confrontation between Bane and Batman, it's anticlimactic for Catwoman to just show up and shoot him.
Permalink Reply by Arsène Lupin the Third on July 20, 2012 at 6:03pm They had their fights, Batman lost the first round, won the second(when he was standing over Bane who's mask was was leaking). The fight ended when Talia got involved and explained her plan. The whole thing with him getting shot by Selina was more of a "last minute rescue the hero" moment
Permalink Reply by IAmDeadpool on July 20, 2012 at 6:06pm Bane had already been defeated by Batman, and it was only Talias intervention that saved him. Catwoman then did the same for Batman. Take from that what you will.
I think the big ass hole in his chest is your answer!
