If it's crap... We'll tell you

For those who think they might know what happened...

Origin (theory 1) - Adrian Veidt kidnapped a group of scientists and modern artists to design and create the creature, then unleashed it into NYC as a means to end the Cold War. (News doesn't travel very fast in Antarctica)

Origin (theory 2) - My roommate thought the monster could potentially have escaped from the capsized tanker, supporting the possibility of a man-made monstrosity.

Origin (theories 3 & on) - Most other theories are mentioned in the film. I favor outer space myself.

The bugs (theory 1) - The bug creatures were spawned by the monster much in a similar way to how the 1998 Godzilla reproduced.

The bugs (theory 2) - They were parasites living on the monster.

Marlena - Speculation about Marlena's fate depends on which theory about the bugs you take to heart. In the case of theory 1, I wondered if the infant monsters could reproduce in the same way the giant did, leaving thousands of microscopic insects in her wounds to tear her apart from the inside. Favoring theory 2, the creatures bites could've been its means of reproduction, but their small size didn't cause the monster much harm.

Tough fucking monster - The monster survives mortar, missile, bomb, and nepalm attacks throughout the film, and depending on what you think happens afterwards, possibly even a nuclear strike. This guy's either got some really thick skin or he has the power to regenerate. I favor the second one, cuz I'm pretty sure I saw a limb burn off during the nepalm scene.

Any of your own?

The monster, ocean or space?
No fines, no webbing, no ones ever seen it, so it didn't come up for air, even though its breathing it in the city with no problem. The paracstes also looked and acted more like a land critter than water. And the whole slusho thing I think is to just throw you off track.
To me the monster looked and acted more like a land animal that lives around water. The feet are flat, claw/hands for grabbing things, the tail for swimming, the mouth "no grinding teeth" for swallowing large mouth fulls, not for chewing it.

Space, on may 22 hud, jason and rob are setting on the balcony when you hear " BLlaaaammmmmm" one load ass noise that could be a space ship crash landing. - now they are on the roof top when you see the huge fiery explosion. What could cause such a huge fiery explsion "fuel from a space ship". That explosion was about 10 blocks worth and higher than the buildings. So why did the space ship crash, maybe it got damaged by a satellite a month eariler "april 27" and slowly fell to earth. Remember the satelite hitting the water at end of movie, on the 27th. When hud was on the bridge and paned over and zoomed in on the shore you could see a crashed ship? I'm not sure, could be though. It sure as hell was not some man made ship carrying that big ass monster and that could make that big of an explosion.

How many monsters? Well to quote part of the movie. "Multiple" sightings of the case designated "cloverfield" camera retrieved at incident site u.s. 447 area formerly known as "central park". Multiple could mean - multiple monsters seen, or multiple people saw a monster. Camera retrieved in "central park". When Hud sets down the camera you can see the city smoking way off in the back ground, the same city where the monster hit and damaged the helicopter that crash landed over in central park. Then Hud goes to pick up the camera and you can hear about 4 steps from the monster, why 4? because I think it just came out of the water. you can see water or mud drip off the monster, and there were small water flecks on the camera. And that monster you can clearly see orange breath sacks on its head, the one in the city had gray breath sacks. you can see the gray breath sacks when hud and crew go down into the subway. The last monster looked more intelligent , more mature.
Incident site u.s. 447? Does that mean there are 446 other incident sites? and why point out the u.s. when you live in the u.s.a.

For the monster to take that kind of damage and breath are air it must have come from a very hustle planet. There are a zillion planets out there, but i'm going to talk about just one Jupiter. Are scientists are just no finding critters/plants at the bottom of the ocean that they never thought could live there. So if they are just now finding that out about are planet, theres no telling what kind of life is on jupiter. If we can make masks for humans to breath in poisoness gases, why can't jupitors "mother nature" make breath sacks for her children/monsters to breath on jupiter. If the monster has breath sacks, what does the parasite breath with? well if we look at the movie "Evolution". The parent would die from oxygen, but the offspring would become oxygen tolerant . As the breath sacks let the monster breath air, the parasites become oxygen tolerant now because the host is breathing oxygen. If the monster can regenerate and the parasite can respawn by biting the host, then thats one nasty marriage made in hell.

The Hud, dead or alive? No blood, no visible damage, and the camera did not take and damage by teeth. I think the new orange breathsacks monster just tasted hes first human and did not like the taste and spit Hud out.

So someone actually made a good Watchmen movie, and we didn't even know it. Take that, comic book fans! Ha ha ha! Anyway, I prefer a more terrestrial orgin, as monster from space are just kind of lame. I really hope that Cloverfield was a product of a government experiment, coinciding with the tanker origin. I'm also partial to the Alien-style impregnation theory for the parasites.
