So what is it so far? Fall comes quickly and with it a slew of Oscar hopefuls. Currently, Cyrus is going with 3:10 to Yuma. Runners up are Black Snake Moan, Hot Fuzz, Sicko, and Hairspray. There were plenty of other films that were either good, but not best of the year material like Knocked Up, Superbad or Ratatouille. I also have yet to see some of the highest rated films this year like Rescue Dawn. The worst this year for me was Norbit. How about you guys?

Loved I'm not there

Hated Hitman
I have to go with Hot Fuzz.. I haven't laughed that hard since Kung Pow: Enter the Fist
There have been a good number of good films this year and I may have to go with No Country for Old Men, 3:10 was great too, or possibly Strength and Honour, although that may not count because it was released just recently but I believe that it was actually made in '06, but it was released here in America this month so I'm still going with that one. Those three stand out in my mind as of right now. But there have really been quite a few movies I really enjoyed though. Worst movies for me this year that's a hard one I try not to go see movies that look bad. Hitman blew so that was probably the worst movie that came out this year that I actually saw, so there you have it. Hitman. The possible biggest disapointment for me though could be AVP-R. It looks great and I hope it is but I just fear that that in fact could very well be my biggest disappointment of the year, not the worst film, but the biggest disapointment. Although the biggest disappointment in a movie for me ever was a movie Directed by Oliver Stone, about a GREAT man. This movie, who's name I refuse to speak because I disliked it so much. Seemed to be about a man in history that did great things, like conquer the known world. Yet somehow it seemed like this was actually left out of the film and replaced by several fifteen minute sections of two guys stareing at eachother from across the room. I get it, he had feelings of a sexual nature for another man. In this era for this particular group of people this was very common and not something looked down upon. So why not actually show some of this man's great accomplishments. This movie was the worst 8 hours of my life, the first 3 to 4 was spent actually watching and sleeping through the film and the last 4 or so was me wanting to kill myself for having seen it. Mr. Stone, you really let me down on that one.
yeah norbit was bad but that movie 310 to yuma i don't know maybe it just was'ent
my kinda movie knocked up was a good movie but not the best the new harry potter movie
was alright i guess i really liked i am legend
the only blockbuster to get the best pic nod will be pirates 3. transformers will get 2nd tier oscars for special effects . ratatoullie will get animated win. other than that who really cares?
Ok, my vote goes to Black Snake Moan for Best Film I've seen this year so far. Such a fun, wild, crazy, well-writtin and surprizingly deep film.

The worst movie that I still want my money AND time back for was Eragon. If I find you bastard that put this together, the bloodshed and horror I will unleashed will make Uwe Boll vomit out of his ass.
My least favorite this year was Ratatouille, but I have three favorites; Norbit, The Mist, and Spiderman 3. There plenty more but I'm too lazy to see if they came out this year or '06, I rarely go to the theater so my memories a little off.
AND TRANSFORMERS, forgot that one.
Hard to say what the best movie was, but as a Transformer fan, I know I enjoyed myself the most at that movie, so I'll give it the title.

Worst movie was by far and away Knocked Up. I felt I had already seen that movie. Only it had Julianne Moore and Hugh Grant in it and was titled Nine Months.
Worst - Cloverfield - the word overated comes to mind with this film, didn't get the hand-held filming right it failed on all fronts, especially the unfunny guy behind the camera.
Best - REC - Succeeded where Cloverfield and Blair Witch failed. Guy behind the camera wasn't making irrelevant and bad humoured comments every second like in Cloverfield. Some genuinely scary scenes and a good ending! Best horror film in a while!
Best move so far in 2008, Iron Man. Best reviewed, highest grossing movie, and my favorite this year so far.

I have yet to see a bad movie from this year, but I'm pretty sure Meet The Spartans takes top prize.
