So what is it so far? Fall comes quickly and with it a slew of Oscar hopefuls. Currently, Cyrus is going with 3:10 to Yuma. Runners up are Black Snake Moan, Hot Fuzz, Sicko, and Hairspray. There were plenty of other films that were either good, but not best of the year material like Knocked Up, Superbad or Ratatouille. I also have yet to see some of the highest rated films this year like Rescue Dawn. The worst this year for me was Norbit. How about you guys?

Korey here. 3:10 to Yuma is definitely in there as one of the best. Hot Rod is probably the worst for me. Question is, is there anything that came out earlier this year that we're skipping over?
Worst - Wild Hogs. Stuck on a plane and all they give us is that losey film.
Best - Romanzo Criminale has to be up there for me!
I had never heard of that one. Has it come over to the US yet? It sounds pretty epic.
I thought Ratatouille was aweome. Is it me or have the movies this year been subpar?
It was awesome, but still not quite up to Pixar's usual quality for me. I actually liked it just a little less than Surf's Up, for gods sake.
I think "sub par" is the most accurate word to sum up this year so far. While I've only seen two movies I hated (Norbit, Fantastic Four 2), I've seen way too many this year I've disliked. Especially from the majority of he big showcase movies (Shrek 3, Transformers, Pirates 3,etc). And while I can name plenty that I've liked (Breach, Resurrecting the Champ, Surf's Up), there's very, very few I can say I loved.
3:10 to Yuma, definitely and maybe Hot Fuzz and Black Snake Moan.

Things better get ALOT better in the Fall.
I thought I was the only one that liked Breach, most people thought of it as boring, but Chris Cooper made that film.
Romanzo Criminale is an italian film, but i'm sure it came out in the US too. It's an old school gangster movie set in 1970s Rome. It has all the elements a good gangster movie should have, conspiracy, explosions, hunky lead (ok that's only for me), romance. It's pretty long, but gripping all the way through. I'd go as far as saying that i prefered it over the Departed....Anyone else seen the movie?
I liked Knocked-up too! Had quite a few laugh out loud moments, so that always scores points with me!
Hot Fuzz is the only one even worth mentioning off of that list. Other splendid movies are Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Mary Poppins the musical (I know it's a play but it's still superb) and Tea and Biscuits, a lovely slice of English life.

The worst movies were all the trash that Hollywood keeps producing for you swine in the states. Blimey you all have bad taste in movies.
Don't make us come over there and make your country completely irrelevant.
