Well this movie are from the guys who made The Day After Tommorow, Godzilla(1998), Independence Day. and it's usually the same thing, Good Effects but not-so-good plot or story.

Hollywood is just contributing to and capitalizing on the whole Doom and Gloom aspect of 2012.

There are several doom and gloom 2012 themed movies being released including
Michael Bay's "2012: A War For Souls" *barf*
and a Disney 2012 movie, an apocalyptic, end of the world, doomsday movie... for kids.

I think the biggest mistake that the trailer made was "Google: 2012"
If you look deep enough, you will find non-doom/gloom info on 2012.
Yea, there is going to be crazy events happening as we get closer to 2012,
wars, natural disasters, plagues, etc, etc
But, the world is not going to end. Even if the poles shift or a comet hits this planet and wipes us out, the world will still be here.
I don't even think the world will end even if the sun goes supernova.

I have been facinated for years on the subject of "2012" and I came across all kinds of info on it. From ridiculous shit to interesting shit. But, mostly just shit. I usually avoid watching video on it especially the ones with the doom/gloom soundtracks. Most of them love to capitalize on natural disasters and the word "Apocalypse". They make it seem like its somekind of physical "war". They don't say the true definition of apocalypse is an "unveiling of the truth".

The Mayans say that the world will go through a "Spiritual Awakening" in 2012
So, if that is true, the only thing ending is our materialistic way of life.
How boring would that movie be? "2012: The Beginning Of A Golden Age"
The Spill Crew would definitely give that movie Some Ol' Bullshit.

Here's the thing: I'm a fan of Roland Emmerick. He's a talented director with an eye for epic visuals. But he's a lousy writer, and he almost always has a co-writing credit on his films. The Patriot, without a doubt his best work, is one of the few films he directed that he did not help write. However, he's the principle writer on 2012, so I fear this may be his worst one yet. Roland, PLEASE!! You're a great director, but you can't write worth crap!! Get yourself a decent writer before it's too late!!

This movie was made by the SAME DIRECTOR already. It's called The Day After Tomorrow. After 10,000 BC, I'm done with these talentless film makers. Pure meaning of style over substance.
