I think the goal is to get away from that 'half a lifetime, mountains of money' to produce the next thing, and we've succeeded in that--and maybe we could have chosen a better word to describe what we were doing."

Well if it makes you nice guys feel any better, they are releasing an expanded version of one of the coolest games ever, Portal on XBLA. For 20 bucks you get the entire game plus a handful of extra levels. Here is the IGN article on Portal: Still Alive.
