The Avengers...Cancelled!?!?!?
Okay. I shouldn't use the term "cancelled" since it hasn't even really started...but, the correct term would be "concept indefinitely suspended." Aka, they can't make it now, and don't plan to.
Don't quote me on this since it's just a rumor, but a reliable source of mine, a good friend of mine, states that the upcoming November issue of the French Mo'Mag will include a detailed interview with Zak Penn and Jon Favreau. It mostly consists of Iron Man news and the banter with the two, but apparently there's a good chance we might not see anything Avengers-related for a good while, or longer...
Only time will tell.

Dudes! Remember, the Avengers movie was originally going to be planned after two more Iron Man movies, Thor, and Captain America. Even if they cranked these movies out a year at a time, we still wouldn't see any production work until 2012 at least.
My advice is to just chill, see how the other Marvel movies do, THEN you can start talking about the Avengers. But at this point, it's WAY too soon to be talking about this.

this does make a lot of sense. captain america and spider man 4 are due out in the same summer and ive reading that warners bros are pushing to batman 3 at around the same time with or without nolan(this will probably turn out not to be true).would have been cool though.
