If it's crap... We'll tell you

After the last season of Heroes ended i wasn't really sure if i was gonna stick with the show. I thought the plot of the season just kinda wandered around and ultimately had no point. also to dam many really annoying unwatchable characters.

I understand that the writers strike through a big crimp in the end, but the season up to the writers strike was still nothing to get excited about. i thought i may never love heroes again.

So when this season started popping up I was reluctant to watch it. But eventually my curiousity overtook me and i watched the first few episodes of season three. I was really impressed with them, they seemed to be a million times better than any of the season 2 episodes, and they had either gotten rid of or completely changed the annoying charracters, but still i was careful. Heroes has done this to me in the past, started really good story lines and then just let them fade away into nothing. However, I just watched the newest heroes episode, "I Am Become Death" (which is a title i really didn't understand), and I'm happy to say that I am officially back on the Heroes bandwagon, and am actually considering impregnating my wife just so i came name the child Sylar.

Anyway the point is i liked the new episode of Heroes. What about the rest of you? Did anyone lose interest with Heroes during season 2? Has anyone been very satisfied with season 3? Has anyone impregnated their significant others already or gotten impregnated with that idea in mind?

Hit me, I love every opportunity to be a slobbering fanboy with other slobbering fanboys and fan girls?

And also, why does nobody on the show care about what happened to the irish chick?

Season 3 has been all over the place... And that is not a good thing. Making up a season with a lack of story by making a season with 50 stories is not a good idea.

And if anymore characters turn out to be Petrellis then there is going to be some incest in there somewhere.

yeah that petrelli family loves to fuck.

Fuck Peter Petrelli. He has all these powers, and for what? He only ends up using them to screw things up with gratuitous time travel. It seems like this season, time travel is just being used as an excuse to not have to work on character and plot development. The writers are getting lazy and seem to believe that flashing forward into the future is the cursory solution to everything. The storylines and characters are getting sloppy. Nathan is the only character that has really stayed true to who he was in the beginning. I'm holding out for the writers to do a major turn around and bring that je ne sais quoi of season one back before people stop watching.

i can agree that i wasn't psyched to see that peter petrelli has officially become the main character. The one scene i was not a fan of in this episode was the one with the 2 Peter Petrelli's. It felt like watching Keanu Reeves jerking himself off. I'm really expecting peter to bust out "I Know Kungfu." i would prefer if it went more Hiro heavy or more Noah Bennett. Still, i will be psyched if they managed to conclude all the storylines. Here's hoping there isn't another writhers strike.

Here's to that. I missed the memo about Heroes becoming "The Peter Petrelli Show." I definitely would not mind seeing some more HRG action either-- teamed up with the Haitian or with Sylar. Anything but that whiny bitch Peter.

How do you guys figure? How is Peter the main character? What? He has more face time compared to the others? In my eyes, Hiro is also a main character. Everyone has equal face time, and now its Sylar thats become the good guy and he is just as popular as the others.

"I am become death" is a famous quote. Full quote is from a Hindu text "I am become death, the destroyer of worlds." J. Robert Oppenheimer, father of the A-bomb, was quoted as saying this after the Trinity nuclear bomb test.

I agree with you, Dude. Season 1 was great. Season 2 was God-awful. Season 3 so far is pretty good. I like the new direction they're taking with Sylar. Nathan has picked himself up although I don't know how I feel about the whole God angle. Mohinder as the fly is intriguing but I really want to see him go all Jeff Goldblum. After Season 2, I wasn't sure I'd keep watching, but so far so good.

thank you for explaining that title because it did not make a bit of sense when i saw the episode, but now it seems pretty appropriate.

I thought that the first two were rather weak and unoriginal, however episode 3 and 4 proved that the writers have not lost it. Plus i like the new direction they have taken with Sylar, he needed to be more important.

I'm loving the season so far. It's not like the first season but it is eons better than last season.

I really had no big beefs with season two. It hasn't been until now that Heroes is very slowly becoming unwatchable... I was happy that Nathan and Nikki (well not really Nikki) would not be killed off at the end of season 2, but now I feel like the future of these characters is grossly uncertain. They're like the walking dead pretty much...sticking around when there isn't much for them to do. I guess I'll keep watching to see if their story lines get any more interesting, but I'm very doubtful.

It's almost ridiculous how they're just bringing back all these characters just because people like them. I'm worried that this big cast will have absolutely nothing to do, and characters won't be developed any further. I'll admit that I was sad when certain characters were killed off in the first season (like Isaac and Ted), but now that I think back on it, I'm glad that they're not still around just to be there to make me happy.

This show is reminding me more and more of 4400. I've always tried to avoid comparing the two, but now with the Mohinder thing, the two shows seem really really similar.

Oh yeah...and unless Ma Petrelli is like the mother of all evil, I really don't want to find out that anyone else is related to her or the other Petrellis. Really... is the world that small that everything involves this small group of people?....

I'm hoping the Sylar-Petrelli relation is a lie cooked up by her to get him to become a tool for the company.
