In my opinion, the American cinema isn't the proper background (Historically, culturally, or socially) to do a proper Kung-Fu movie, but yet they seem to constantly try. Should they just stop and let that genre really rest in the hands of the people that can actually do them right? To me, they should stop trying. Matrix was the WORST example of how BAD Americans (or non-asians) do Kung-Fu. They had to bring in instructors and train the actors for months JUST to get the action on film. That's not right. The crew and cast should be ready to film from the first second the movie starts filming.

You thought the action in the Matrix was bad?
Really?
Have you started smoking crack recently?
I've heard of some who didn't like the Matrix for various reasons but never a criticism of the kung-fu. It was choreographed by the master, Yuen Woo Ping for FSM's sake. You officially have entered the "doesn't have a clue what he's talking about" category for me with this way off the reservation revelation. Even if your only point is that it took too long to train non-martial artists to do the fight scenes properly...I'm not really sure why that is a problem for you. Getting experienced actors to learn kung-fu for the action scenes is always going to be quicker and easier than getting experienced martial artists to learn acting for the drama scenes.

Well you are both totally and completely full of it. Deadpool...I never know what the hell to expect from you but Chig, really? I think the whole world has gone crazy.
I don't have The Matrix trilogy on my "All Time Worst Movies" because I liked it, you know...

Well, to be honest I haven't had a reason to go to your profile directly for awhile. I know you like to be the one to be a shit-stirrer and get people riled up, but I have to call you on that one. I can honestly say that The Matrix is one of not only the greatest action films ever made, but one of the best sci-fi movies as well. I think it's completely preposterous and "I hate anything that everybody else likes"-ish to call it an all time worst movie. But maybe there's some quality about Chig I'm just missing here.

I can understand why some people might not like it. It's done in a way that looks stiff and somewhat unnatural(purposefully I believe), though I liked the style they used.

Ok, here's my problems with the action fights in Matrix.
It's not WHO was choreographing the fights, but who was IN the fights. I mean, honestly Keanu and Fishburne? Those are your 'martial artist"?
It's also who was FILMING it. Really, you think Wachowski brothers were the people to do the filming of it?
What I'm saying is that no matter how close they come to doing a good job of the Martial Arts in American made movies, it's going to always look LACKLUSTER compared to Asian made films.
Good use of Yuen Woo Ping. Yeah, he came in to help with the choreography, but let's be blunt about it. When Yuen Woo Ping directed The Tai Chi Master, Iron Monkey 2, The Red Wolf , Fist of the Red Dragon and Last Hero in China you can see the differences in the proper people doing the genre. Americans/Non-Asians might come CLOSE but they will never be as good as the Asian made ones.
Here they are, movies I will never watch no matter what. I have noticed the majority of my list are sequels so this could also count as sequels I will never see. If you can think of any I should avoid, tell me now and save me before it is too late!…
