Favorite comics: This changes as creative teams change, but as of this writing:
The Immortal Iron Fist
Astonishing X-Men (Warren Ellis)
Ultimate Spider-Man
The Walking Dead
Uncanny X-Men
New Avengers
Scott Pilgrim
How do I get my friend/girlfriend to read comics?
Fables is a good way to start, but they need to give it at least 2 trades before they make a decision.
Buffy. Chicks dig Buffy.
Ultimate Spider-Man is usually a pretty good way to go.
The Sandman - this one is probably the most successful 'gender-crossover' title in a male-dominated medium.
What are the best horror movies around?
These may not be the scariest. They may not even be the best, per se. But they're my favorites in no particular order (and are completely subject to change).
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (the original)
Halloween (the original)
Night of the Living Dead (again, the original)
The Brood
Jacob's Ladder
The Thing (John Carpenter's remake)
The Exorcist
Zombie (Lucio Fulci!)
Bride of Frankenstein
Brides of Dracula
Favorite Video Games:
Mario Kart
Oblivion
Gyruss
Sinistar
System Shock 2
Ico
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat
Grim Fandango
The King's Quest series
Chrono Trigger
Star Wars (original arcade)
WarCraft 2

The hole shit crazy story of metal gear solid and the camera angles are all resolved in Metal Gear Solid 4 (best game of 2008). Plus the camera was worked out in Metal Gear Solid 3 which gives the back story the rest of the series.
So, it all works out in the end (just don't go online tho you'll get tea bagged and butt fucked).
great game for you to play that is so so good online is left 4 dead which is first person shooter and you can play as a human or as a zombie online with just 100% madness to follow.

Wot! You ask him and not me!
I'm offended I am.
(Well, actually not-but I've a secret reason for loving Highlander the series. I did mention the series in my review of the 90s era Get Smart series too).
I've written to you and Beau about the Marvel Horror series of Essentials. Not the actual Marvel Horror, but the Essential trades of Tomb of Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, Werewolf By Night and Tales of the Zombie. I've only picked up the first two Essential Tomb of Dracula trades, but I'm thinking about picking up the other ones. I'm really digging the stories and since Essentials are in black and white, it really helps with the atmosphere. I was wondering what your thoughts were on these series. Beau also suggested I try the Showcase edition of House of Secrets.
Also, I was interested in checking out the Hammer Horror films. I work at the reserve desk in the school library and we have a ton of DVD's that professors put for students. The horror professors have a lot of the normal stuff but a few Hammer films of Dracula and Frankenstein and I wanted to give them a shot. People speak so highly of the Hammer films that it's made me want to check them out. I'm curious what you thought about them, as well.
It's a lot to ask, but I've been on such a horror kick as of late, I'm trying to ride the wave before something else catches my attention. Thank you.
Hmmmm. I'm into all sorts, really - classics, rpg's, adventure, text, etc. I don't play many sports games, though. Go figure. Some of my favorites are Grim Fandango, the Legacy of Kain, the King's Quest series, Mario Kart, and on and on and on . . .
You know, I still haven't set aside time to play it, unfortunately. It's on my rather long list. Right now I'm playing 'Zelda: the Phantom Hourglass', 'Left 4 Dead', and 'Gun'.
Have You, Being The Horror buff that you are, ever Seen Silent Night, Deadly Night 2 or Shark Attack 3 or Troll 2 because the great quotes come out of all Three of them:
