If it's crap... We'll tell you

Personally I beleive that Judd Apatow is comic genius, providing some of the greatest comedies in the past decade.
Films such as, Knocked Up, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Mashall and many more.
People say that Apatow has dropped the ball on several evets.
Disagree, taking into account that I haven't seen Walk Hard or Step Brothers.
Oh and Drilbit Taylore wasn't great!
Seeing Pineapple Express On Saturday!
So, what do you think of him???

I love the majority of his stuff; essentially anything he does that is rated R is very well done in my humble opinion. He has a knack for making wacky characters seem very real, which is a nice quality to have in comedy. I think that is what separates him from most comedy directors; he gets his actors to act, not just do goofy shit.

There isn't a single Judd Apatow film I enjoy or find funny. Call me the odd man out, but I just don't like that type of comedy.

I don't like Kevin Smith either.

I really do not like his raunchy humor. Yes Judd, my gag reflex does work. You don't have to test it every 3 minutes and I do not, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, want to see a will ferrell or John C Reilly's testicles!

comic genius ? have you ever watched a peter sellers movie ? and even the 90's had better comedies like dumb and dumber or something about mary. the 40 year old virgin is probably the most overrated comedie of all time to me. superbad was a great movie loved it. but sara marshel just seemed one big dick joke.and appatow said something like "i'll throw a dick in all y future movies" wich makes me think he dropped big time

Judd Apatow's movies makes me think he's like a more refined Kevin Smith.

He's put out some good stuff, and also some things that I just couldn't get into. I wouldn't call him a genius, just very talented with a good eye and sense of comedy. I liked Pineapple Express, but couldn't stand Talladega Nights. However, I think the greatest thing he ever did wasn't a movie, it was a short-lived and highly underrated t.v. show called Freaks and Geeks. If you never saw this, you can find pretty much every episode on youtube. It had some great actors, great stories, and is one of the best, and most realistic shows to look at high school life that I've ever seen. Seth Rogen and James Franco were on this as well, along with a few other people who pop up in Apatow's movies, check it out.

Out of all the ones I have seen that have his name on it, The 40 Year Old Virgin.

Fucking love most of them

I really like his movies because they're comedies directed towards a male audience, including the romantic comedies like 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The fact that they're geared towards an older audience helps their appeal as well.

His movies are great. Up until the last 20 minutes. All of his films are funny as hell but they all drag on way too long. The only thing these films need to be masterpieces in my book is a better editor.
