Derek and the Dominos. I have had to replace this album at least 6 times. I have turned bfs, roommates, sisters, and kids onto this, and then been repaid with THEFT!

Best cut off the album, in your opinion?

Yeah. I mean, I love 'Layla', but 'I Looked Away' is just much more enjoyable to listen to.

Pesky job. They have not yet realized that they will be paying me to stand by. I'm just trying to get a quick start on that performance standard!

Okay, I'm back. This may not be the proper forum for this, perhaps it should be in the music section with a forum topic of its own, but I am always interested in the desert island question: " If you were stuck on a desert island, what ________ would you bring?"

In this case, what 10 albums/CDs would you bring? These are not necessarily always what you know to be artistically the best; sometimes it may be an emotional thing, like a CD of lullabies.

(Aside: Of course, in these days, albums are not concept-driven as often as they once were. Sometimes, they seem to be mere collections of songs.)

"Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs" always makes my list. Of course, the title track always gets a lot of praise, but the deceptively sensual simplicity of" I Am Yours", the wry humor of "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out", and the conflicted longing vengefulness of "Bell Bottom Blues", just to name a few, move me more than the title track as performed on this album.

No, not much of a fan, am I?

Damn, how I wish I could have been here to witness it.

Lousy internet, cutting out on me during our moments of triumph!!

Now that's just plain silly.

Welcome to office, President Champa.
Just don't fuck it up and go to war with rottentomatoes.com for their oil.

He's already at war

Oh by the way this is more of a plug for Gantz than the music. If you're an anime fan who keeps saying nothing good has come out in the past few years watch Gantz the most fucked up disturbing anime I've ever seen.

An anime called Gantz. I saw it over the summer on... lets just say DVDs are available.

It's my favorite.

Don't bother with it, you've just seen the only good parts.

The rest is just a bunch of boring long winded nonsense, and people spending eighteen minutes out of twenty two minute long episodes whining about things no one cares about.

Even the action scenes are sabotaged by people stopping and talking for ridiculously long amounts of time.

The pacing is horrendous, and by bringing in dialog directly from the manga they fail miserably at making anyone sound remotely human.

I care about them the philosophy of life, death, the afterlife, and the morality of killing in self-defense. That said it's not for everyone and the ending was crap. Still it was the most shocking anime I've seen. It left with some "I how could they do that moments"
