Due to unfortunate elements during production, or rights juggling, or whatever, some great movies come through demanding sequels, but a wire gets crossed with Htrae, and we end up stuck with some bastardization of a once great work of art. WHat do you guys think was the worst sequel to an otherwise great film? And try to go for something not so obvious, like the prequel trilogy. It's much mroe itnereste=ing to discuss forgotten gems
For example
The worst sequel in my eyes has to be Delta House. For those of you unfamiliar, after the classic hit that was Animal House, the studios decided a TV show was in order. Now whoever thought this was a good idea had to have been a Blutarsky. Take a risque, by 2000s standards even, film that was rated about as big as R can get, and turn it into a show that can air on 1970s pre-watershed NETWORK television? Is there really any way this could go right? And to make matters worse, they air it at 8PM on Saturday, a time when the core audience that might watch a show are out at the movies, getting drunk, or doing any number of a dozen things that did not include a TV set. As predicted, less than a season later, we never again heard from Delta House. For this, we lost out on the discussed sequel which would have featured the Deltas in the Age of Aquarius, a formula which could have almost guaranteed success. For shame, executives.
Well there's mine, now let's hear yours!
