1. Yes.
2. No.

While I haven't read 'Cell', they seem *very* similar.

The signal starts off strong (pun intended), but the second part really ruins the tone of the film... i got really messed up and ended up freaking out and running out of the room during this movie.. ive never seen the end and i never will

The end isn't all that bad, but the second part is soooo different from the rest, the whole thing comes off as some weird anthology.

The second part wasn't bad at all, mind you. It just didn't fit with the rest.

The second part looks like it should be a Edgar Wright comical movie.. dosent fit all all..

It was really cool what they did with that movie. I thought the second part was the best. It was hysterical! It lightened the mood, and gave you a break before moving back to being serious.

I agree with the comments about the second half. It only took me a little out of the experience though. The dvd is well worth buying. Its one of the best discs i've ever seen for such a low budget movie. You got commentaries, deleted scenes, a short film, interviews, a documentary and more. Buy it now.

I found it. This movie had the best improvised weapon ever. The duct taped kitchen knife BALL O'DEATH.
