The Pixies were one of the greatest bands ever. I ADORE them. Have you listened to any of the side projects yet like The Breeders or Frank Black?

I haven't listened to much of The Breeders, but I listen to Frank Black pretty much daily. A lot of his solo stuff is great! Have you heard his album Teenager Of The Year?

That's one of his best albums. You should totally check out the first two Breeders albums. I like them much better than Frank's solo stuff.

Alright, I'll check those out. It sucks being fifteen and a Pixies fan....Like I have gotten really into them over the past few months, but their reunion tour ended pretty much like 3 months before I got into them. I'll probably never get to see them live. : (

I first saw them opening up for Love and Rockets on the Express tour long, long ago. None of us knew who the Pixies were then: they only had the first ep out. They proceeded to absolutely blow everyone away. After that, Love and Rockets were just boring.

If I had to guess, that was back in the late 80's around 1987 when Come On Pilgrim, the EP, was released. Was it around 1987?

Yes indeedy. And in fact it wasn't the Express tour but the Earth, Sun and Moon tour for Love & Rockets. oops.

I know it's random, but you have a good playlist of music on your webpage. Bands like Husker Du, The Flaming Lips, Minutemen, and Nine Inch Nails are some of my favorite bands.

Cyrus, I looked at some of the songs on your page just now. You had Threshold Apprehension on it. That song rocks! I think it's one of Black Francis'(aka Charles Thompson, and aka Frank Black) best solo songs. My top 5 of his solo would be
1: Los Angeles
2: Headache
3:Threshold Apprehension
4:Test Pilot Blues
5: Dog In The Sand

It's hard to make a top five of Frank, because there are so many good songs in his catalog...
