Movies You Enjoy But Others Don't (Or The Other Way Around)

Now, I've noticed something about movie-loving communities that is understandable, but somewhat annoying. In a movie community, everyone is harsher on a movie, and I understand why. They see more movies and gain a harsher view when they see newer movies. But they also watch some classics everyone is supposed to love and conclude that they're great despite their flaws.

I like the prequels. I don't love them, but I don't hate them either. It's not as good as they original series, but they're better than many other movies. Now, I can be called "retarded" or "insane" for liking those movies, but what people on this site(and other movie sites) seem to forget is that the majority of the general population has no problem with the films. Normal people like them, maybe even love them.

Now here's an example of a "classic" I hate; Rocky Horror Picture show. It's a fetish movie with Tim Curry in drag... not my idea of a good time.

Anyone else have feelings like this?

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of Easy A either. It was because of how over-the-top Amanda Bynes' character is (though it doesn't help)- it's the fact that I could hardly connect any of the characters with actual highschoolers I know/knew. I didn't think that the dialogue was all that realistic or natural.

For some reason everyone I know hates The Lion King. How, the fuck, could you hate, The Lion King?!?!
Are you kidding me?  You must know like 2 people.  "The Lion King" is the most celebrated animated film of all time (next to "Toy Story.")
Up will be regarded as a classic some day. We call it an instant classic now but only time will truly tell. But I doubt it will show any wear in the years to come.
Anyway I love Lion King but I am nowhere near calling it the most celebrated animated film. Toy Story 1&2 are the most to me.
I didn't enjoy or rather, got bored from watching the Battleship Potemkin. I tried to watch it because I had heard wonderful things about it and that it was a must-see movie for movie buffs. So I started watching it and before the 10 minute mark, I just got bored and turned it off. It was my first silent movie so that may have been a factor. I didn't hate it but it was just so boring and therefore not an enjoyable movie experience.

Enjoy:

Idle Hands, that film is hilarious to me, it's over the top and cheesy as hell but that's part of the fun.

Hate: There are some films that by the time I've watched after hearing all they hype all I can think is meh or that it sucks.

But the only film I ever watched I really felt hate for was "The rocker" cause I paid to see it in theater and was the only time I had to tell myself "I paid to see this" to keep me in my chair.
