Movies You Enjoy But Others Don't (Or The Other Way Around)
Now, I've noticed something about movie-loving communities that is understandable, but somewhat annoying. In a movie community, everyone is harsher on a movie, and I understand why. They see more movies and gain a harsher view when they see newer movies. But they also watch some classics everyone is supposed to love and conclude that they're great despite their flaws.
I like the prequels. I don't love them, but I don't hate them either. It's not as good as they original series, but they're better than many other movies. Now, I can be called "retarded" or "insane" for liking those movies, but what people on this site(and other movie sites) seem to forget is that the majority of the general population has no problem with the films. Normal people like them, maybe even love them.
Now here's an example of a "classic" I hate; Rocky Horror Picture show. It's a fetish movie with Tim Curry in drag... not my idea of a good time.
Anyone else have feelings like this?

Its cirtainly not without its flaws but as I said they're enjoyable enough, and I do agree it was CGI overkill (they could have easily used an animatronic Yoda at some points in Ep II and III, like they did in Ep I). Yeah, I say bring on an episode VII VIII and IX, but less CGI please George.

Awwww, cmon I totally enjoyed all the Pirates of the Caribbean. ALL THREE !!! (caps for emphasis) . Johnny Depp character portrayal was funny as hell.

I don't know, I find myself not liking a lot of movies because of the hype surrounding them. For instance, I fell asleep twice trying to watch the first Pirates movie, I didn't like Wedding Crashers, Cloverfield, Fight Club, Rocky Horror Picture Show and countless other movies. It might be a complex, actually.
Some movies I secretly love but don't really want to own up to it...Bring it On, The Mummy, Carnosaur..actually, pretty much anything Sci-Fi shows.

The Scorpion King. Maybe it's just my decade long obsession with Dwayne Johnson. My sister and dad always tell me when it's on so I can watch it, and then tell me when he's about to kiss that damn sorceress. So I can turn it off. I think my sister told me she hated that movie.
I remember when Napoleon Dynamite came out and everyone thought it was so f'in awesome, and I never got past 20 minutes of it without going to sleep or turning it off. I don't get it.

I hate The Mummy movies. Mathayus as Scorpion-Man just threw me off the whole movie, maybe because I was thinking too much about the science behind it. I don't even want to see the latest one. I have no idea why my friends want to. >.>
