i own a nintendo Wii (got it on launch day) and almost every game i have played for the Wii (not including Wii sports or wario ware smooth moves) is just a gamecube game with a motion gimmick to it or just in fact a gamecube game ex: zelda TP, mario galaxy, metroid prime 3, mario kart wii, and SSBB. and after all the hype that the wii got for being revolutionary for adding motion sensitvity, i belive it has just been one big over hyped gimmick. anyone else agree or disagree about this?
Warioware: Smooth Moves is actually a really good game that uses the motion sensing controls. Although I haven't played it yet, Boom Blox is a pretty good game as well.
Whether you like the Wii or not its the future. A few years down the line all games systems are going to be like that.
Plus the Wii didn’t cost as much and X-box and Play station. I mean damn the system cost like 600 and the games are like 60 a piece who can really afford that. Which is why it out sold them.
Not to mention the Wii is more targeted towards children
Thats what im afraid of, the next consoles from sony and microsoft are gonna have relativly the same graphics and have medicore family orientated games because nintendo has shown that thats the most profitable path so I guess after all the talk about the PC being dead itll be the last place to play good games in a few years time :(
Well Video games were originally intended for kids. And as much as some adults like them the main demographic is still going to be kids.
I wish the Wii had better games but its really the controller that puts it ahead of the other systems.
That’s what I meant by the future. I think X-box and Playstation will still be in the game (well for a little while) but they are all going to have the motion sensing controler.
W'll be the old curmudgeon’s complaining about how video game actually require you to move now.
Hopefully when then next x-box and playstation come out they can improve on where Wii failed.
