I AM NOT A TELEPATHIC OCTOPUS...
but my job requires me to be. Here is a Forum for those who feel my pain as a working Joe. i am just a regular guy, a simple man. i drink coffee in the morning and beer at night. (insert Country Music here) i have two dogs and they are the only ones happy to see me when i get home. Otherwise, people suck. They demand that i read their mind and service them in as many ways as possible. It is demeaning. And yet.. perhaps there is something humble and "Amurican" about it. I dont know, you tell me.

And in actual response to your post, try waiting tables sometime if you really want a dignity-crushing experience. At least you only have to interact with a given asshole for a few minutes instead of almost an hour. Captain's has been quite the exciting place lately, Matt had to break up a fight at the bar and Harry apparently almost got in a fight in the dining room.
Your little aside reminded me of an episode of "Cheaters" I saw where a guy pissed in his boss's coffee pot, watched him drink, then had his boss's girlfriend give him a blowjob (no kidding!), then kiss his boss on the lips. You should have seen the poor guy's face when the Satanic-black-clad host showed him drinking the piss and the kiss, with cameras in his face. TV is used for evil, evil purposes...but I digress.

the Captain's always was interesting. i only worked there three months and have enough memories to last a lifetime. Are that one guy and the dolphin-girl still married? I hear her dolphin-squeal sometimes in my nightmares... what is this Cheaters? Sounds like the kind of show i would abso,utely never watch. Tv isnt evil, people are. We made it in our image. But i digress... Can you digress if theres nothing to digress too? Lets go make fun of the Sex/Violence kid some more!

"Thank you for reading my application and resume and considering me for the hiring. None the less i must say that i am sorry for leaving the business many a month ago. i had issues from the past and it is fault of mine for letting them take their toll on my life. I worked in Retail for about a year. What I love was when 'guests' (yeah, we called them 'guests', like were a f*ckin hotel) came up to me and demanded, "Go back and see if you have any more of these."
No. You ask me politely if I will check, and I will be more than happy to. Demand it, and I just go in the back and stand around for ten minutes, come out and say we're out. Twats.
So yes, I'm currently (and quite happily) unemployed.
