Worst Book You have ever had the displeasure of reading

For me it would have to be any of the books in the "Flowers in The Attic" series by V.C. Andrews

The first book was pretty meh but each book that followed got worse and worse, and my sick need for closer made me power through them.
The woman can't seem to make her characters evolve at all. The way they are written when they are 11 are the same way they are written when they are 36.

She loves ending ever sentence in exclamation points! To the point were they lose all effect.

She also writes every character as a complete whore or a sick stalker who can't move on with their lives.

She also falls into the trap of making characters impossibly beautiful, every single character needs a 9 sentence paragraph describing how wonderful they look. This would not be that big of a deal but they do it 15 times for every character. If you took out character descriptions all her 200 page books would be 5 page pamphlets about being overly dramatic.

Twilight comes in a close 2nd

Wonderful book. Unquestionably my favorite book before 3rd grade. 3rd grade was when I first read the Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit and The Old Man and the Sea. All of which pushed Wrinkle in Time back a bit, but it was still a fantastic book.

You either need to read more often, have horrible taste and like everything, or lived the most blessed life a person can imagine.

Breaking Dawn by Stephaine Meyer...and yes the first 3 in the series were good, she just f ucked up with the last one.

I have no idea why she thought that 'baby-love' would fly with her readers.

All I get is the mental image o a wolf humping a BABY.

WHAT! I knew she was a talentless hack, but I didn't know she was a furry pedophile.

There Are No Children Here
by Alex Kotlowitz

Had to read it for a sociology class I took senior year in high school. While it wasn't bad content, it was boring and therefore ineffective in my eyes.

the worst book i have ever FINNISHED reading is the da vinci code. i've read and liked some of dan Brown's previous titles, but this was just a more slow, boring controversial version of Angels & Demons. i've read more worse books but don't finnish them
