I was talking with some friends of mine and we were discussing if the success of Batman will force marvel to create the avenger's movie. The point was that now that Dark Knight has taken the biggest opening weekend title away from spiderman 3 that Marvel will not stand to be bested by DC and will work to create to the movie to regain the title again (as well as make a ton of money). The reasoning being that they don't have one title that could out do Batman by sheer popularity alone that they would go the route of an all star team. I think it might have some weight especially since Marvel now has their own studio to produce their movies out of. I was curious what you guys thought?
