In the flashback he isn't a man in suit, he's just a man hiding behind a computer screen and plants traps, for his enemys and the men who ruined his life. Just imagine a man calling himself the Riddler, who is hiding behind a dark computer screen. planting traps for the people who ruined his life.
The Batman show? No thought required, idea immediately lame. No, I would not like a Riddler that's just a shadowy figure behind computer screens, or as I like to call it, cliche villain idea #534,246. The green suit is required as is the question mark being his symbol, similar to the custom smiles being Joker's. Sure, he can be behind computer screens for some scenes in the movie, but I don't want that black-silhouette-in-front-of-bright-blue/green-computers BS.
first off, I hate the way The Batman made the Riddler a emo piece of shit.
If he is in the third Batman movie I would like him more like this.
His a mob boss that like the theatrical so he has a flashy outfit and entrences. His kinda like Two-Face with the coin but he has Riddles. Now he would kill somebody without asking them a riddle but sometimes he likes the suspense.
His backstory isn't that important but you have to put in that he is very smart. He loves finding out the answers to questions, it makes him feel good. But he wants to do what no one has ever done, find out who Batman is. Somewhere along the way he finds out but he doesn't want to tell everyone because it's the one thing that makes him better then the rest.
I want them to show that the Riddler sees it as a game that he loves playing. Even if he wins he will do it again.
They should introduce Riddler in this movie because WB wants him in Green Arrows which should start production soon. God I hope soon.
In Nolans verse they would have to have a good story and good reason for him to use riddles like they put alot of thought behind why Two-Face uses the coin. Something "realistic". Otherwise he can't be more than a minor villian.
You know, for some reason when they were talking about casting The Riddler and putting the Nolan twist on things, like making him a theatrical crime boss, a name kept popping up in my head:
Denzel Washington.
Now the idea of it seems equal parts completely ridiculous and absolutely brilliant in my mind, but I can't get it out of my head...
