I forget in which comic book it was mentioned, but when villains in the DC universe want to scare each other, they sit around telling Joker stories. Heath Ledger's portray of the Joker brought that to life. For that alone the movie is a must-see, just don't blame me for the nightmares.
If there is one thing that weakened it for me, it's that I'm tired of the vigilante hero who only growls and grunts: Batman, Wolverine, Rorschach.

The movie was a great work, watched it 3 times. It's been months since I last it but the only flaw I remember was the intro where Joker made his escape. I mean who the hell would not notice a school bus exiting a giant hole in a bank?
but aside from that, I really enjoyed the acting of Heath Ledger.
