Which movie made you love to watch movies?

For me, it had to be watching Return of the Jedi when I was about 5 in a crummy Aspen apartment while my other family members were asleep. Being able to experience the excitement and imagination as well as the deep themes of father and son (though I didn't understand at the time) really got me hooked into watching movies.

But as Migari said, Pixar films like Toy Story and Toy Story 2 made me love films as a child, and this love of film continued.
Also, one of my favourite movies as a young kid (like 7, 8 years old) was Terminator 2 - Strange? Perhaps...

When I was a kid my favorite movie was Conan The Barbarian.
Good clean fun any six year old can enjoy....
The film that made me realize that movies could be more than a couple hours of mindless flashy entertainment was Rocky.
Sure, it's not the deepest movie ever made, but when I was ten years old and seeing it for the first time it was a real eye opener.

The audio commentary with Milius and Schwarzenegger is priceless.

He is so God damned funny.
John Milius will be talking about set design and production aspects and Arnold will just pipe in out of nowhere "THIS IS THE PART WHERE I FIGHT THE SNAKE!!! SO COOL!!!" and Milius will respond with ten seconds of stunned silence.
That said, Schwarzenegger's commentary still manages to be very insightful towards his character and the movie in general, while still managing to be completely hilarious throughout almost the entire movie.
After listening to the commentary I can understand why directors have attempted to put Arnold in comedies. The man is a (intentionally and unintentionally) non-stop laugh riot.

Oh yeah, I did see this before Star Wars. Now, no jokes, but I saw it in a drive-in theater, so it was not the best venue. Poor print, the sound was not synced, as I remember. But I saw it a couple of years later on TV, and then I got it, and I could see why it was so loved.
