I'm a big fan of cover songs when they're good and sound nothing like the original. So I was wondering what are some of your favorites. Mine are in no particular order:
Dancing in the Dark: Tegan and Sara (original Springsteen)
Brown Sugar: Ryan Adams (original The Rollingstones)
Satisfaction: Cat Power (original rollingstones)
Satisfaction: Bjork and what's her name
Wild Is the Wind : Cat Power (original David Bowie)
Sea of Love: Cat Power
hhhmmm I'll have to give this some more though
Led Zeppelin: Dazed and Confused (original by Jack Holmes)
Korn: Another Brick in the Wall parts 1-3 and Goodbye Cruel World (original by Pink Floyd)
Toto: Bodhisattva (oriinal by Steely Dan)
I never knew that. I did some research, and in an interview, Jimmy Page seemed like that he did not want to talk about Jake Holmes when asked about original credits for song. Yet, Jimmy Page is still credited for originally writing the song. It is found on http://www.turnmeondeadman.net/Zep/DazedAndConfused.php.
