M. Night Shyamalan Anyone?
Pesonally, this guy is one of my favorite directors. Sure, his more recent work is not that great, but you've got to acknowledge that there are few filmakers who could pull off a story like Unbreakable or Signs. But these days it seems like most people dislike his movies (not just LITW or the Happenning, but all of them). So, what gives? If you dislike his movies, feel free to elaborate here.

I'm a firm believer in the concept that you don't have to like the artist to like the art. Also, you can think the artist is a fantastic fellow, but believe his work is shit.
Unfortunately, Mr. Shyamalan has pushed his dislikability to the point where he has become such an egotistical ass, I'm digging in my heels simply out of spite.
I don't care if he makes the most incredible movie to grace the screen in 50 years. I will not see another movie of his until his nasty case of smug has passed.
