I think the reason for that was the constrictive nature of the batsuit.
I've read that the suit in the new movie offers Christian Bale much more freedom, so hopefully we'll get an eye full of Batman kicking ass like we all know he can.
Judging from the previews, I think this next movie won't rely on so much choreographed kung fu fight scenes. Batman isn't fighting ninjas (thank god) this time around. Instead he will be dodging bullets and cracking skulls of mobsters, which is what Batman does best...that and convincing little boys to wear green underwear in public.
Some of the Marketing for this movie is a little ridiculous to me. i mean they got Happy Meal Toys out for The Dark Knight, i just dunno if it's fitting for a kind of movie like this.
Well Anyways, I am definitely excited to the see The Dark Knight.
This is easily going to be the best movie of the summer. I liked Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk but there are both on a different level than The Dark Knight.
I have been waiting for this movie ever since I heard that the started shooting early last year. I just hope I am not disappointed like I was with Matrix Reloaded.
I just bought tickets to see it. There are a few things that I hope this movie does right.
- Develop the conflict between Bruce Wayne and Batman. You know the entire "Battered Bones and Bruises and non existent social life" thing.
- Develop Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllanhaal character) to a further extent other then the regular old damsel in distress.
-A coherent development of Two Face, I really don't want another tommy lee jones and i think i speak for many when i say he played the role more like agent K then harvey dent.
- Finally I hope that the joker recieves an equal amount of screen time for the movie, I really hope the entire movie just doesn't revolve around him (even though if Heath acting is as solid as they say, i might have to say otherwise).
- Detailed action scenes. Those damn quick camera changes. Batman Begins did this alot especially at the end with batman fighting Ras Al Ghul goons. As batman would be fighting the camera would change perspective so fast you would kinda be like "okay what the fuck just happened, oh okay batman killed four men in two seconds", as much as the pace in these scenes is great, they need a little bit more detail.
- Finally I hope they release a rated R version of the film with the joker using a bazooka to shoot a baby carriage.
