Ive seen the movie about 3-4 times now, I think the film is great (there will be blood should have won the oscar though, anyhoo) but the ending still sucks.

This part I am mentioning was not the end but it was about the guy that took the money and he had a beer with a woman at a motel and later we find him dead and we didn't get to see the action go down. That was a huge let down. The guy's wife too at the end of the film was a let down. Come on! They thought they were doing something different but to me it was anti climatic ending.

I never understood what the big God damned deal was with that ending.

Yeah it was a little different, but I've seen a whole lot of movies with much worse endings.

Exactly. Not every movie should end with a gunfight. Sometimes movies are made to make people think about different themes, this one's was "Is there any hope for an honest man?".

I've seen it a few times. Its a pretty solid movie but it feels like they no one knew how to end this movie so they just said "fuck it."
