- The Curbstomp scene from American History X is pretty disturbing the first time you see it
- 'Eraserhead' as a whole was somewhat disturbing, especially the parts with the baby and the eraser production factory

American History X, also watching It at 7 years old can leave some scars.

Gummo, without a doubt. Disturbing and not in a bang-you-over-the-head-way of showing how depressing a white trash down can really be.

Grave of the Fireflies still makes me get a lump in my throat as well.

Oldboy-

Incest

Self Mutilation

Torture

Live animal eating

And a mind fuck ending

Chan-Wook Park's Sympathy For Mr Vengeance is worse....

*Spoiler Alert!*

MUCH worse. Oldboy is violent, but cartoonish in many respects. "Sympathy" is...well...fucked. The main characters are played so real and honestly likable that it's truly painful to watch scenes like this.

Jacob's Ladder. I watched it when I was 12. Unfortunately ,at age 20, it didn't have the same affect that it had when I was 12. The shaking heads is what creeped me out.
