List your top ten video games of all time

Money has been big matters to me in gameing past.

I got my first job, to purchase my first NES. I bought a 360 for only Mass Effect. I only pay for one MMORPG at any given time. PC upgrades are made and planed for over 6 month periods. I have bought and traded cartridge games for profit. I have witnessed diablo II characters bought and sold with in the house I live, for over $2k. I have competed in CounterStrike tournaments for profit. I have never goldfarmed, or been personally paid for online game content, but have been involved as a 3rd party in transactions valued at several hundred dollars. If I had more disposable income, I would buy Arcade consoles.

More recently, I pre-order much wanted titles, and often spring for the collectors edition.

I try to budget myself. I usually spend between 17-25 on a game, sometimes 30... depends on the game and where I buy it. The only exceptions I make are for rare, older games that are harder to get, but I can usually find those pretty cheap 2nd hand or play them through a friend.

with the older games you could just download and play if on an emulator. that way yourself some money to buy a newer game
