I've never understood the appeal of movie memorabilia.
I can understand the fantasy of wanting something cool that's in a movie, like a lightsaber or a spaceship, but I've never felt the want for a prop.
What would you do with it?
Even if it was something that worked (like a car) you'd rarely, if ever, use it for fear of damaging a piece of Hollywood history.
So basically all you'd do is put it somewhere to look at it.
Can't you already do that by watching the movie it's originally in?
I suppose the biggest draw of them is being able to own part of a movie, or having a conversation piece.
I'd rather just have the movie, and create my own conversational pieces.
It would be kind of neat to have photos of myself with a few celebrities, though.
That way, when people come over, I can impress them with stories of my Hollywood lifestyle.
