I would have to say that my favorite movie mould have to be halloween , befor it got dumb .
I also liked decoy's and fear.com What is your take on them ? Have you seen that movie with cane ( he's a wrestler on wwe ) I can't think of the name , if tha tells you anything , it sucked .
evil dead 2!!! perfect blend of horror and slapstick, i never really was a fan of the halloweens fridays etc after all the sequels. planet terror and dusk till dawn are fun horror flicks too
This is easily one of my favorite horror movies, mainly because I can imagine one of the stage hands wheeling in a huge barrel of fake blood, the director then looking at it and saying "what are we making a romantic comedy? I said i need lots of blood!"
Oh and have any of you seen the tragedy that is the Rated R version of this movie. Because if you haven't seen the unrated version, you haven't seen the movie.
Have you seen Hatchet? I love this movie, the monster killer is looks really creepy and how he killed the people is was so really creepy. Another horror movie is 1408, really impressive and worth watching.
It's a toss up, since horror encompasses a lot of subgenres. But if pressed I'd say Evil Dead 2. It's near perfect. There's not one wasted minute on screen, it has some amazing (for the budget) effects, great humor and some good scares. Next up would probably be John Carpenter's The Thing, which is near timeless.
Do you really consider Aliens a horror film? I'd say it's more of an action flick than anything. Alien, on the other hand is built around a horror/suspense plot. Aliens is the shit, but I'd say it's more along the lines of Terminator.
My favorite is Misery. What I love about it is that it doesn't consist of much blood or anything supernatural, but it's scary because of the great performance of the actor who played Anne Wilks. She's scary when she flips out.
This is kind of cutting corners a bit, but I know I can't be the only one- "Butterfly Effect"
Of course people consider horror flicks to be all blood and monsters and crap, but this movie scared the living shat out of me. And my mom told me that one of her friends daughters couldn't watch it alone because it scared her so much.
