this was all I could find.
The movie has been delayed to add a cameo with Kevin Smith and sound effects from the ''Star Wars'' films, which were authorized by George Lucas himself after he saw an early cut and approved.
and in another post I found this.
"Fanboys" Movie Heading for Re-Shoots
The much troubled comedy is heading for some re-shoots, according to Dark Horizons.
"Fanboys" has been shelved for almost two years and it's being reported the film will head to re-shoots. The film is supposed to released in theaters sometime in March or Apirl by MGM and The Weinstein Company.
But as we know it is now May so maybe it should be soon.
The best people to ask is Korey or Cyrus who do the movie reviews.
Just click on their faces right above here and send them a private or public message and I am sure they should have more info than me, but I hope I helped LOL.
thanks. thats what i heard too. this is my first time signing up for a forum/blog. i am just learning how to do this. your homepage is quite naughty! i'm not offended, just giving you some flak.
you would think they would release it to recoup their investment. at least release it on dvd. the weinsteins just keep pumping out crap movies. how many movies are there each year that are worth the money to go see at the theater? i would guess 10. sorry, i'm whining.
I think this movie's thunder has already been stolen, thanks to the Family Guy and Robot Chicken Star Wars specials. Plus, I was really excited to see this comedy after viewing its trailer but now all of that excitement has died down....a long, long time ago.
i am going to buy the watchmen today. i am going to try to read it this week. i used to be able to read all the time now its like i have a.d.d. or something. its embarassing, i'm 43. i never heard of rorschach before but now that there is going to be a movie i thought i would give it a read.

I got to see a special screening of it, it seemed like they were very concerned whether or not the test audience would respond better of the backstory included one of the characters having cancer. The version I saw had the cancer story completely cut from it.
I'm curious as to which version got the best response, and which will be released. I would actually like to see the other version (just to see if the story had a bigger impact than it did).
