If it's crap... We'll tell you

I just got back from watching IRON MAN at my local movie theater and I just have to say this movie was awsome! I loved everything about this movie even Jeff Bridges chest hair. The story was great and very easy to follow, the acting was terrific, and the all the special effects looked real. Robert Downey Jr. really did a great job with the Tony Stark character and Terence Howard is a great Jim Rhodes. Gwyneth Paltrow was very believable as Pepper Potts even the terrorist looked real. I only have one complaint with this movie because in the movie the War Machine armor poped out of nowhere, they never showed Stark working on it. It's just there to tell you "No matter what there will be a sequal." But thats a very minor complaint. I also wish they showed Happy Hogan a little more in the movie but his absents didn't effect the movie.

This movie is easily the best comic book movie I've ever seen and has one of the best movie cliffhangers.

I give a 93/100.

P.S. The best thing in the movie is Stan Lee playing Hugh Hefner.

Saw Iron Man yesterday (and even won a poster in a stupidly easy trivia game). A brief review...

I thought the movie was excellent, mostly because it didn't try to do too much. We got ourselves an extended origin story (complete with flashback), introduced a few key characters for use in sequels, created a three-dimensional villain with an agenda and a range of emotion, and finished off with a slugfest. The acting was spot-on and layered - Downey, Paltrow, Howard - all laid some really great groundwork for a second installment, regardless of where in the Marvel mythos the second story takes us. The SFX were detailed and, dare I say, realistic. The humor was fresh and biting at times. And for us comic fans (I collect Iron Man), there were plenty of nods and winks: the in-armor heads-up displays, the Prowler in mid-Stark-conversion, Tony's fascination with flight, the quirky A.I. characters, and most of all - the gritty center of Tony Stark, who is at his best when the chips are really down.

I had some tiny beefs, but they pale in comparison with the overall film. I will see the movie again in the theatre, probably within the next couple of days, and get there early to get a prime seat. Iron Man moves to #3 on my superhero movie list (behind Spiderman #2 & Batman Begins).

Full Price (for 2, with reserved seating, and concessions with all the trimmings!)

PS - Best thing was the automated armor-on sequence. Second best was the fire suppression robot.

The War Machine was the second armor made. The first was in the cave and the third was made out of the gold-titanium alloy and painted red. He ask his computer to make it while the gold on while he goes to the benefit dinner.

No, the second armor was the Mark-2.

He made two armors the first is the one that freezes in high Altitudes. Than he made it out of gold alloy. So Rogers was looking at the first armor
