2 great master empires of comics, what do you perfer, I enjoy the Marvel Heroes but I just love the Bruce Timm Cartoon Universe of DC. Stan Lee is the Man, and so is Spiderman. I cant decide at all. So now nerds go piss each others off as the epic battle between between good and good commence

Marvel for me. Batman is the only dc hero I really like
I was a huge Marvel fan growing up but as I got older, I have to say that I think DC produces the better comic stories. I still think Marvel has better characters, but I think DC knows how to handle theirs a tad bit better. Most of my favorite comics of all time, and I hate to admit, are produced by DC. Marvel's characters are so unique and revolutionary but they haven't done much with them since the 70s. Marvel seems way too interested on money right now (especially with all these cross over crap fests) while DC (who too like money) are trying to push the genre forward with their Vertigo and Wildstorm titles.
DC at the moment. I hate what Marvel has done to some of their keystone characters, especially post Civil War. It's not a good idea to make Iron Man seem like a villain; It's not a good idea to kill off Captain America; but most of all, It's not a good idea to have Spider-Man make a deal with Mephisto to save his Aunt May and have his marriage to Mary Jane erased in the process. Shame on you Joe Quesada! Shame on you! You pissed more people off with One More Day than Frank Miller did with The Dark Knight Strikes Again.

DC Comics for me. Say what you want about Superman, or how Batman is the only interesting hero in the DC Universe. I was raised on those two, and the Justice League. Sure, I enjoy Marvel's Superheroes, but not with the direction they're going currently. I don't know what to expect from the Secret Invasion storyline, at all. But Final Crisis for DC and the Batman, R.I.P. storylines have me in stiches. I make the arguement that DC's characters have more amazing stories to tell than Marvel, but I'm more or less getting on my soap box on how Marvel is being handled by Joe Quesada.
I totally agree. Recentley marvel has done some pretty weird stuff like breaking up the great spiderman marriage and killing cap wasnt something i liked too much either
Well put. Oh and don't forget about how the X-men have just recently broke up...again.

What really pisses me off is the fact that they killed Cap in a time where some really great stories can be made. They're missing a huge opportunity. How awesome would it be if Cap quit the Avenger to go off and fight in Iraq. Cap comics have always been political, and now would be a great time to say something with such an iconic character.

Did anyone pick up the Captain America comics following 9-11? There's a few issues where Cap is digging in the rubble of the Twin Towers desperately trying to find survivors. That's some powerful imagery.
I think I have that special 9-11 issue where all the villians and heroes team up to help with the damage. Spiderman is on the cover iirc.
I agree.. the whole civil war story was more of a soap opera.. and very depressing to the end. Then Spider-man makes a deal with the demon to save aunt may ?? let aunt may go... you can't keep her corpse forever.
I like DC more.
I have been reading comic books for years. I hold DC comics in high regard for their years of work but I have to go with Marvel. They just seem to me more interesting characters and storyline. I will give DC that batman from 1980's and on is just great.
Thank you for that informed and relevant decision.
Marvel
haha how am i not surprised :P
