I actually wouldn't mind this guy making movies if he just left the video game movies alone and tried to do something away from those projects.

Taking something everyone loves, trying to recreate the feeling is never going to be easy. He should do something much more simple.

I like Uwe Boll, I really do. The man takes a medium where the current product is artistically laughable while at the same time fun for many, and makes a movie out of it. In my entire life I have yet to see a video game translate at all onto the screen so it's not like my man Uwe is really destroying anything sacred here.

Could someone do a better job? Sure they could, with the right writer behind it you could concievable turn any game into a movie and make it good, but you have to love the material and take it seriously. What Uwe did was cash in on what is basically an untapped pipeline to wealth, video game movies. Since there are very few people interested in making them, then why not Boll?

There was a time when comic booc movies sucked, 20 years if I'm not mistaken, and now its one of the biggest genres around with actual good directors taking the material seriously. Until Hollywood decides it wants to treat games as seriously as comics which they now refer to as "graphic novels" then I really can't join the bandwagon and hate on my man Uwe for makin money. Appearantly the man is doing something right, he keps getting work right?
