When ever I download trailers and stuff on my PS3 I have 3 options. HD 720, HD 1020, and SD. Is SD lower or higher then HD?

SD is just standard definition. A regular tv definition.

It is Standard Def and it is what your normal basic tv is. i.e a cathode ray

If you have a TV and setup that supports 1020.

SD=480i/p lines on vertical resolution

There is no resolution of 1020p/i, there is 1080p though. And right now, 4k is the best...don't know how ultra high-def will compare. But you're gonna be hard pressed to find a tv above 1080p at the moment.
