The only movie that I have ever walked out of was Oceans 12. It was a horrible movie. I wanted to walk out of Bratz but I had my niece with me. That was the only movie I ever walked out of but I did fall asleep during Spiderman III.
I walked out of 300.
It was on a wednesday, matinee, by myself.
It was during school hours and I was hoping to avoid the crowd.
On the way upstairs to the theatre, I noticed 2 men escorting 5 mentally challenged kids into the elevator.
I said to myself, "its cool that those 5 kids get to go out and enjoy movies"
The show sold out, thanks to all the high schoolers who ditched.
Luckily, I got there early and got the best seat in the house (last row, near the exit)
10 minutes before the commercials started,
4 mentally challenged kids sat to the right of me.
It was fine, until I heard heavy breathing directly behind me.
I slowly looked back, and I saw a guy with a bib, in a wheelchair smiling at me.
I couldn't sit anywhere else, even the front row was taken.
So, as soon as the lights dimmed, I walked out, and got a refund.
I have nothing against the mentally challenged,
I love those "goofy bastards"!
But, I would rather do arts and crafts with them
rather than watch a violent film with them.
First time, I ever walked out of a movie.
Im not the kind of person who walks out of movies
but, if I had a time machine I would have told myself to walk out of Speed 2.
Luckily, we have Spill.com to prevent these kinds of situations.
Not to talk down on the mentally ill, but it should be movie theater law that if you're wearing a bib you shouldn't be allowed in.
Also, children should be banned, not just from theaters, children should be banned from all public places.
Oh, I'm laughing so hard! We had a state run mental facility where I lived for many years..rokrok you think sitting in a movie is bad, try having to be in the high school bank and have a parade for them! Oh yeah, we had to go up to the "School" as it was called and march around the campus with them all following us, dancing, clapping...and don't even ask about the "School" outing to the carnival.....
I don't walk out of movies if I paid for it, if not then I normally stay but I did walk out of the first x-men. I didn't pay to see the movie so it's ok.
Well I walked out on a Beach Boys concert in college....oh, movie right...
I remember when The Color Purple came out...my mom wanted to see it so we went together. Now, I know it's a great film but when I went to it, I really wasn't that interested in it but my Mom was. So I sat through it, just itching to leave...the movie ended and when we left the theatre I told her I didn't care for it, she turned to me and said, "Why didn't you say something? I wanted to leave too but I thought you were enjoying it." So, we both sat through a movie neither of us liked, but that's ok...my mom passed away 5 years ago and it's a funny memory of her I'll always have.
Now I would have walked out of the double feature of Drop Dead Fred and Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead, but I was at the Drive-In with 4 kids who where loving it! Talk about torture......
Walking out isn't an option for me. I pay about 9 big ones to see a movie so to walk out would be a waste on my part. BUT! If I'm having a bad time, I'm not above making fun of a movie loudly and obnoxiously. I did that in Cloverfield 10 minutes in and from that point on, I actually made the movie better for everyone in the theater.
