what were the 5 movies that u hoped were gonna b good but ended up really disappointing

1) Star Wars Episode 1. Jar Jar Binks pissed me off so much, I refused to see Ep 2 & 3 unless I was promised that Jar Jar Binks died in a shower of gore.
2) Ghost Rider. Loved the comic as a kid. the movie was....well, I was annoyed I had spend money on it. There needs to be a rating between "Rental" and "Some Old B.S." Like...."Something to watch while you're waiting for Sunday Football."
3) John Q. Very compelling premise and the acting was decent, in spite of the writing. The dialogue was just very preachy and the conversations just felt unnatural, esp. in the E.R when they're demonizing the doctor.
4) X-Files. I was an avid fan of the series until that point. I was not thrilled that I paid to see something that deserved to be nothing more than a two hour episode. I stopped watching the series pretty soon after.
5) Butterfly Effect. My wife still hasn't entirely forgiven me for taking her to that crap. I think it's probably the biggest reason she doesn't often go to see movies with me.

I'll list more when they come to mind. These arent the only ones I thought sucked. They're just the ones I expected to not suck.

Alien vs Predator
The Village
Broken Flowers (liked the cast, was bored to tears by the film)
Halloween 2007 (though saying it was disappointing is me being NICE on it)
