I remember first seeing the trailers, and it stands as one of the best trailers I've ever seen, thinking the film was going to be a masterpiece. The Hans Zimmer music was perfect, as were the aerial bombing shots.
The movie was horse poo. If you muted the dialogue, the movie actually looks good since every scene Michael Bay shoots like a music video. The script was atrocious, as were the characters. Bombing scene was fine, but no emotion anywhere else. The film ends with Doolitte's raid on Tokyo?? As if that were anywhere near the turning point of the war? Ugh.

After watching this movie, it wasn't a film about the book. It was a Warhammer 40k movie.
