what were the 5 movies that u hoped were gonna b good but ended up really disappointing

Fairly recent ones? At least a list of ones that could have been so much better.

1.) Alien Vs Pred
2.) Ghost Rider
3.) Eragon
4.) The Hitman
5.) Hulk

Basically most of the action flicks of the last 10 yearsish could have been MUCH better.

I guess I just had a certain set level of expectation(s) for each of those films, and they pretty much dissapointed me. They all had their good points, but compared to what they could have been? They were just let-downs more than anything else, but WOTN and S-M 3 were both definitely awful.

That would have to be the Matrix sequels. The first one had a fantastic story and it left some interesting stories to be told down the line. The sequels could have picked that up but instead we got some pseudo-philosophical, super contrived, special effects bonanza, that didn't make me feel the way I felt at the end of the first film where I was like "WOW! That was awesome!" instead I was like "...Oh...well, then. I guess it was all right." Instead of a good story where I'm rooting for Neo all the way, I'm watching two movies where the Wachowski Bros are patting themselves on the back for being so smart.

I wanted to feel for the people of Zion when the machines attacked. I didn't. I wanted to feel Neo's loss for Trinity in BOTH movies. I didn't. I wanted Smith to come back in a reasonable matter and be a threat for Neo.... well, he was a threat for Neo, but the idea of him being able to recreate himself.... uggh.

There's so much more to say, but overall I was hoping the Matrix sequels would be good and they were just all right. That's disappointing.

Spiderman 3 was one I really was hyped up about, and I ended up being disappointed by it's lighter tone and villain glut. I understand what they were trying to do, but I don't think it worked.

Four others: Batman Forever, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, the Eric Bana Hulk movie, and The Matrix Reloaded.
