ok i been looking for great asian movies here's my list
oldboy
Sukiyaki Western: Django
ichi the killer
audition
john woo's the killer
hardboiled
fist of the white lotus
I just saw Sukiyaki Western: Djamgo and to be honest I was a bit let down by it. It really did not do anything new for me at all. I felt that I've seen everything it had to offer before.
Audition on the other hand was great. I felt that it was really tense and creepy since I kinda already knew what was going to happen but still wished to see how it progressed. If you liked Audition there is a particularly brutal movie called Battle Royal. It's where adults take a class room of kids, put them on an island and force all of them to kill each other...Condemned ripped this idea off but Battle did it much better. (You actually get to see the action.) I also heard that Suicide Club was good and I have it in the store that I work at. I might go pick it up as well and tell you how that turns out.
For Suicide Club/circle get ready to say to yourself while the credits are rolling "wait......what?....wtf did i just watch?"
Not saying its bad...just the ending had me confused lol.
If I split it up into China, Korea, and Japan, I'd have to say the following:
China: Two of the absolutely best films I've ever seen out of China were
THE BLADE (Staring Vincent Zhao)
1996 I think the Best Kung fu movie ever, why? No so much for the choreography as for the brilliant directing and editing of the film. The subject matter in the film addresses the innate carnal and social power forces within men and applies it all to the best kicks story ever. This movie is hard to find, but once you have it, you'll never let it go. Also, TEMPTATION OF A MONK
(aka You Seng staring Zhang Fengyi- who you may know from The Emperor and the Assassin-
the third best movie out of China) 1993 Just a good, powerful story about a KICKASS war general who becomes a monk and is later tempted to return to his lustful and violent past. Solid movie.
Korea: SHIRI
a nice paced action thriller about a North Korean assassin working to destroy the truce between North and South Korea great cast. Also, THE HOST
Hilarious fun monster movie
Japan?
MACHINE GIRL
comes to mind. If you like over the top CRAZY SHIT you could laugh at, you'll love that film. If looking for something a little more serious, I'm a big fan of three films done by Takeshi Kitano they are the following (and I'd recommend watching them in this order). Sonatine
, Fireworks
, and Brother
. Takeshi tends to make some pretty fatalistic movies, so if you don't like that stuff, THIS IS YOUR WARNING, but they are good solid films.
The technology offered in an exceedingly good world of warcraft quest helper will dramatically abate the time it takes to achieve level seventy for any class in the game. As several understand getting a toon to the top level using average taking par…
Before I start this discussion let me say this: I love Modern Warfare 2. It's all I've been playing since its release a little over a month ago. There are, however, a few things that piss me off in terms of the multi-player experience. These are thin…
