The Spill Community has been live for only two weeks and I'm amazed by how many members we already have (over 600!). By my count, less than 5% are people whom I personally invited. I'd love to know how the rest of you even knew to look for us.
I was looking up movie review via youtube. I remember watching the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie review and I remember laughing all the way through it. Then, I clicked on the profile and discovered that Spll was an actual website. From that day I became apart of the spill community.
I was looking for Indiana Jones 4 reviews on the YouTube, and the ones i found was kind of boring, and then i saw two cartoon dudes on the preview, and clicked. And that's how a not so average 20-year old short Swedish-Chilean girl fell in love with the Spill Crew.
I found Spill through Youtube about a year ago. Then I found out that you guys had a website. It was a faster way to get movie reviews because normally I see trailers for films but I don't exactly have the money to go to the movies every week. That, and I love hearing what people have to say. Then it started branching out to podcasts with ACOCO and LEOG. I'm also a BIG comic fan so it was nice to see that you guys were talking about that too. Spill.com has been a place to get more than movie reviews and I look forward to every update you guys do.
I found you guy on youtube and me and my sister started watching your videos and we just loved them and next thing I knew my sister was making me a spiller.
This was posted on September 27, 2007 and this tread is still alive? Only Spill can pull that off!
For me I was looking for a written review for a particular movie and I saw Spill on Google and it was on the first page. I Click on it and saw cartoon faces. I was like....what is this. I click on one of the videos and was shock. I didn't expect and I haven't seen anything like it. A review with animated characters discussing films plus cussing added to it. That was hilarity. I believe I watched most of the vids that same day. The raw audio reviews were even better.
Ever since stumbling on Spill Universe I have been having fun watching, listening, and reading reviews and comments from the Spill Crew and fellow members. All of the Spill crew you can correspond to by messages or treads and they reply; not all the time but at least there is interaction unlike other sites (be warn new comers, don't anger any of them, especially the members, and no harm will befall you).
All I would say is that I hope Spill will be here for a long time and it continues to grow.
Long live Spill! If it's crap....they'll tell you!
