The Spill Community has been live for only two weeks and I'm amazed by how many members we already have (over 600!). By my count, less than 5% are people whom I personally invited. I'd love to know how the rest of you even knew to look for us.
I just came across review by Korey and the Latino girl (I think), whose name I can't remember just now, of Supherhero Movie... I just saw it as a one off and didn't think about it again after but I later ran into another one of the reviews (this happened on youtube by the way) with Korey and the rest of you and saw a few reviews and I really liked it so here I am...
it was by accident, actually. I was flipping through the VeohTV channels and spotted the review of 10,00 B.C. That review made me laugh so hard I was crying. Before long I found this website and subscribed to the podcasts. After coming back from time to time I finally decided to join. Having a great time so far...
I was surfing through youtube after reviews of the latest Indiana Jones movie, when I came across the spill video review. Got me hooked :) This was about a year ago now.
I found spill.com through youtube. I was searching for a review for Indiana Jones and I saw the small thumbnail of two black guys(leon and korey). I was curious and was thinking to myself, 'these guys are going to be giving a ghetto ass review'(i saw a sketch with black guys acting really ghetto like 2 days before). In the thumbnail I didn't notice they were cartoons so when I saw it, it blew my mind. Good review, funny, and I loved the style. I didn't register for the site till a while.
I used to look at reviews on YouTube and I discovered you guys when it was called "Reel Deal Reviews". After a bit, all of the videos disappeared and, while disappointed, I figured that that was it. Then I saw a review from you guys posted on "Funnyordie" and then discovered this website and I've been visiting it ever since.
A buddy of mine(known as Phoenix on the site), was watching you guys review of Epic Movie while and work and showed me the video on his computer. I started surfing through you guys reviews and thought you were really funny. Then I found the site by clicking a link, then you guys really got me sucked in with the podcasts(I like many internet nuts like wasting tons of time, watching meaningless crap online) In fact I wasted most of today watching old Wrestlemania's on youtube(ahhh childhood). And I've been checking the site daily ever since.
I subscribed to the Podcast and downloaded a bunch of reviews before going on a road trip in British Columbia. Where we were driving there wasn't much to do and long hauls between stops so i finished them all in one day. By the time i go back i was hooked.
I was on youtube looking for reviews on Cloverfield and found some animated critics cracking jokes as they talked about movies. After watching about 10 reviews, I just decided to go to the Spill page and check it out.
I was looking for some funny, incredibly negative reviews (similar to AVGN or the Nostalgia Critic) of crappy movies. In the process, I found the Spill review of Meet The Spartans. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but I did laugh pretty damn hard.
